Enrichment

Our children have the opportunity to take part in a range of Trust-wide enrichment events throughout the year, including:

PDET Just Sing!

An opportunity for our year 4 children to join together with children at other schools within our Trust to sing a range of songs in a theatre performance. An amazing onstage experience!

PDET Going for Gold Sports Day

A team of 15 children represent our school in our Trust's annual inter-school Olympics! A fun day of sports competition and physical challenges for years 2 - 4.

PDET - Maths Rocks!

A fun and hands on maths experience for our year 5 children.

Clubs

We offer a wide range of both internal and external clubs each half term, providing enriching opportunities for all pupils. Clubs are available across every key stage, ensuring that activities are age-appropriate and engaging for all. Parents sign up pupils sign up at the start of each term, allowing them to explore new interests, develop skills, and enjoy learning beyond the classroom.

Forest Church

Forest Church – Outdoor Worship & Fun!

As part of our Forest Church Pilot for the Church of England Flourish programme with Werrington Parish, we are excited to offer a welcoming space for outdoor worship, exploration and community. This initiative supports spiritual growth, wellbeing and connection with nature, and we are delighted to be part of this developing project.

Join us at William Law CE Primary School every Tuesday from 3:15–4:15pm. You can arrive from 3:15pm, with activities beginning around 3:25pm.

Everyone is welcome — whether you are part of our school community or joining us for the very first time. There is no need to sign up; simply come along and be part of it.

For William Law children, parents and carers should collect children from their classroom and bring them to the Forest Church entrance near the field. Siblings and other family members are very welcome to join too, and parents/carers stay with their children throughout the session.

Children are encouraged to come prepared for outdoor adventure, so please bring waterproofs, wellies and a warm jumper as we meet whatever the weather. Adults are kindly asked to bring a travel cup with a lid.

At the end of the session, everyone will leave via the orchard gate.

We look forward to welcoming you for a time of outdoor fun, creativity and worship together.

PDET Schools Sports Programme

We are proud to be taking part in the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET) School Programme, which provides exciting opportunities for our pupils to engage in a wide range of sporting and enrichment activities.

As part of this programme, we belong to a family of schools known as the Peterborough Piranhas, alongside Newborough, Ryhall and Peakirk. This partnership allows our children to build connections, develop teamwork skills and take part in shared experiences across schools.

Each term, all pupils participate in an Inspire Event, designed to motivate, challenge and celebrate participation. In addition, there are opportunities throughout the year for children to compete and take part in a variety of activities, encouraging confidence, resilience and a love of being active.
